Banana Cake

                                                                BANANA CAKE

INGREDIENTS:                                                                                                                                                  185 g of flour                                                                                                                                              40 g of butter/(or) 50 ml of olive oil                                                                                                          250 g to 300 g of sugar                                                                                                                              3 to 5  bananas mashed(3 if the bananas are large and 5 if the bananas are small as shown)              1 large egg                                                                                                                                                1/3rd cup of milk                                                                                                                                        1 tsp of baking soda                                                                                                                                  1 tsp of baking powder                                                                                                                              1 tsp vanilla flavour                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             PREPARATION:                                                                                                                                                1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius.                                                                                              2.Cream butter (or oil) ,sugar and egg til it is fluffy;then add   the mashed banana..                            3. Add flour,vanilla and mix well(make sure that no lumps are formed).                                              4.Dissolve baking soda,baking powder in the milk.                                                                                5.Add the milk to the batter and mix well.                                                                                                6.Pour it into a greased cake tin and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes(the cake is done when                a tooth pick or knife inserted at the centre comes out clean .

Just A Question Of Love

                 

                          It is probably the best gay movie besides Shelter.It is a great movie.It is simple and clearly conveys that love transcends gender too.It tells the story of  Laurent an agriculture student  who hasn't come out to his parents about his sexuality as he loves his parents dearly and is afraid of losing them.But he rebels against his parents as they did not take his cousin in after the cousin was kicked out by his parents for being gay,by not performing well in his academics.His only way to pass his course is by doing an internship under Cedric the new professor and a researcher ,they start a relationship.Laurent not wanting to his parent  he is torn between coming out and staying in the closet but when he is outed he has to make his parent understand that he is still the same son they knew and that it is just a question of love.

                              This movie is about the days when HIV was still undiscovered and was in a massive spread .The movie deals with the research about the virus,the lack of research facilities,the scuffle among the researchers involved in the research,the gay community,the people affected by the disease .                                                                                                                

Mango milkshake

Things needed for serving 3 cups(250 ml):                                                                                                            1. Mango pulp -1 cup                                                                                                                  2. Milk-2 cups                                                                                                                                            3. Ice cream(vanilla flavour)-2 huge scoops                                                                                                  4 .Sugar- to taste                                                                                                                             Process:                                                                                                                                                               1.Mix all the above things in a blender and add sugar.                                                                                  2.Garnish with some cut mango pieces or a small scoop of ice cream,enjoy.(You can also make papaya milkshake the same way but one scoop of ice cream will do)

Life is beautiful(Korean drama)

     This drama is a family drama .It tells the story of a family led by Yang Byung-tae (Kim Yeong-cheol) and Kim Min-jae (Kim Hae-sook), and their four children .

Yang Tae-sub:The eldest son in the family.He is a doctor and is gay.He has a homosexual relationship with  Kyung-soo a divorced photographer and professor.                                     Yang Ho-sub:The youngest son in the family.He is a diver in Jeju island .He loves Boo Yeon-joo(played by Nam sang mi) who is his mother's assistant.They get married later.

 Yang Cho-rong: The youngest daughter in the family 

Yang Byung Keol:He is the father's younger brother.He is irresponsible and jobless and single.

Yang Byung Joon:He is the father's brother .He works in a high position in a resort.He is responsible and uptight character.He falls in love with his boss and marries her. 

 

                                                                                                                                   The main reason I watched this drama is for the gay couple Kyung-soo    and Tae sub .Kyung soo(pictured below)[played by Lee sang woo] is a divorced  professional photographer and a professor in a college and is hot, hot, hot.............dude.He was married and has a child.The main villan in their love story is kyun soo's mother she does not accept him being gay and disapproves of their relationship and believes that he  should return to his wife and a picture perfect life like once did.His father is a politician.He has a brother and sisters and does not have a good relationship with them because of his orientation.

                                                                       Tae sub(played by Song Chang-eui  ) is the eldest son in the yang family.He is a doctor and is a closeted gay at the beginning and is afraid to let his parents know of his orientation.He breaks up with Kyung soo as he fears kyung soo's mother.But they get back together and he comes out to his parents.Although he is afraid  of doing anything that can reveal the fact he is gay at first (he does not wear their wedding ring at his hospital fearing people might question him) he grows bolder towards the end ofthe drama.He becomes insecure easily.He has a good relationship with  Kim Min-jae(she is his step mom and a professional cook) and she stands by his side when she comes to know that he is gay.Their relationship was not always this good when Tae sub was young he did not trust his step mom.
